I would have a pretty big meltdown! I’ve been planning this for months and I’m only human.

I would call all my vendors and service providers and cancel everything immediately to get back as many deposits as possible.

I would be extremely professional and support my clients as best as I can. I would look over all my cancellation clauses and make sure that I still get compensated for my work.

How do you handle guests that don’t RSVP?

I squeeze them in on a table and give them a smaller portion because I don’t want to take much from the other guests’ plates. They didn’t RSVP, and the people that did shouldn’t suffer for it.

I already had the caterer prepare a few extra meals and used round tables so I could easily squeeze in some extra chairs. I saw this coming from a mile away.

I’ll sit them down and serve them food while I make small remarks about how important RSVP-ing is. Hopefully, my light-hearted jabs will get them to RSVP next time around.

When a client freaks out so do I, but I still get everything done.

I haven’t really dealt with an event planning disaster but I’m sure I would be calm.

I’m great at prioritizing and organizing myself to handle many challenging tasks at once.
